About Miller Swim School Splash Dash
Miller Swim School was established in 1960 by Larry and Rita Miller in order to teach students to respect and enjoy the water, and to be safe, happy, successful swimmers.  We are excited to host our 3rd annual Splash Dash.  During this event, swimmers will have a three-hour period in which to swim a maximum of 100 lengths. Donors are encouraged to support our athletes by pledging to support their efforts-either via a flat donation, or by pledging a certain amount of money per length that the swimmer completes.
The Splash Dash will provide funds to be donated directly to the Special Olympics Oklahoma. Miller Swim School has the opportunity to work with individuals with special needs on a regular basis, some of which participate in the Special Olympics events. All money raised will benefit more than 10,500 athletes involved with the Special Olympics Oklahoma program, including more than 2,500 in the Tulsa Metro.
Special Olympics seeks to create a community of inclusion and equality. They hope to create a happier, healthier, more joyful place among individuals with special needs all over the world. The Special Olympic Games allow individuals to create goals, to work towards those goals, and allows them to focus on something they are able to do, rather than on the ability or capability they lack. The athletes also find success and friendship and joy through participation in the games.
The Miller Swim School Splash Dash is an invaluable way to give back to the community. We hope to give as many individuals with special needs as possible the opportunity to participate in the 2016 Winter Games. Persons interested in sponsoring a swimmer should contact Sarah Clavin at 918-254-1988 or visit for more information.
